Yes, it surprised me that this would be a problem. To take your advice I am now creating a cursor right before I run the REPORT FORM command. This cursor named TMPCUR has one record i.e. the record I want to print in the main table. I set a relation into my main table and then in the command right before the REPORT FORM command I select TMPCUR.

And my printing "supposed to be a bug" turns out to be user error. Argh! I hate it when I'm wrong:>)
