On Entry and On Exit accept "expressions" to be evaluated by VFP (like MyUDF). What you were entering is an actual line of code (like DO MyProgram). Using EXECSCRIPT is a way to force a line (or several lines) of code to run because EXECSCRIPT() is treated like an "expression" .. that happens to "run" the code inside of it.
