>Who can I contact at Crystal to confirm this? I spoke with someone in sales there last week who said for users to view and print reports generated by the server would require user licenses of about $200 each for each concurrent user. That's in addition to the developer edition license. They said if the reports were generated on the workstation, the per-user runtime licensing was not applicable, only if reports are run on the server.

My understanding is that if the reports are produced by a server and can be accessed by more than 5 concurrent users you will need to purchase additional licenses for the additional users.
See
http://www.crystaldecisions.com/products/crystalreports/licensing/serversoftwarefaq.aspFor this reason, we decided not to proceed with our plans to use Crystal Reports [we were looking at 600 concurrent users].
Apparently, this restriction came with Version 8 - Version 7 didn't not include this in the license agreement.
If you hear something different from Crystal, please post back here with details.
Best.
Matt.
