Kevin,

Please note that I did not start programming specifically because of your question. Your question was the second within a few weeks, that asked for increased accuracy.

I consider that I do this entire project "just for fun".

The current status of the project is: division works, except for misplaced decimal in some cases - I am still working on it.

When I get it to work, I will make it publicly available, as freeware. Donations will be accepted, but I consider these strictly voluntary. If you want to contribute something, you set the amount.

Now, if you want additional personalization to your needs, above and beyond what I will make publicly available, that is a different situation (I mean personalization by me - because you are also authorized to make any appropriate changes yourself).

I still think other solutions may be better for you: 1) Reconsider, with your boss, why do you really nead more than 15 significant digits. 2) If there is really no other way, Visual FoxPro is really too slow. VFP isn't too slow in general, but for some specific cases. This case would be better solved (i.e., faster) by a low-level function (Assember, Pascal, C - any language that produces real machine code).

Hilmar.
