The exception has a Message property.
I am not seeing any error messages from SQLServer. I don't know how to check this.

I have not tried this yet, because I thought this was just a time to wait for a successful connection before timing out.

With the new version of .NET I just installed, the page is timing out and I am working on flushing the responses to the browser and then continuing the process and then notifying by email the completion.
I see that the server properties, connections tab, query timeout is within the remote by rpc section. What timeout property controls how long Sql Server will allow a query to run before timing out or is there such a thing?
