The FOXCODE.DBF in the VFP directory is not the one that is used. That one is used as a template (although the structure is the same). The working copy on my Win2K Pro machine is in "C:\Documents and Settings\caberntson\Application Data\Microsoft\Visual FoxPro\FoxCode.DBF."

You can probably figure out what is going on by browsing a command that has the behaviou you are looking for. Note that not all of the entries in the Abbrev column are functions, commands, or properties (type column = F, C, or P). This allows the command or function to call scripts (type = S) that are executed using the exescript technology. Backup your foxcode table before digging in.
