There is no built-in statusbar object that you can drop on a form, as there is, for instance, in Delphi.

The easy way out is to use the system-wide status bar (set status bar on), but I don't know how this works on a top-level form.

I think there are some Active-X controls you can place on forms. You can also create your own, based on Container.
