Try removing your resource file in case it's corrupted. That may be causing the C5 crashes.

As far as the Report Writer crashing, the only problem I've been having seems to be related to previewing from the Report Designer over and over again. I suspect it's a memory leak and I just recently reported it to Microsoft. Don't give up on the VFP Report Writer .. it's very powerful once you fully learn how it works.
