Yup.. but I waited for awhile. I'm not going comment on whether Ken has done a better job than Robert. Many of the things that have been contributed to Ken were actually started by Robert. Many things were initiated by Ken.

The same way fulltime vs parttime in anything. If you can devote your full attention to something, you can make it work better. Let's take an example from your life. Can you do a better job of studying for your law classes when you don't have your kids after you to play with them? When telemarketers don't call? In the same sense, Ken isn't being pulled away to market VB or XML like Robert was.
