Yes. My experience with these specific products is the newer version has greater stability. W98 is not in the same league as W2000 or XP. In fact W2000 and XP are better compared to NT.

As I have seen and used each version of Microsoft Windows that has been available to the public each "new" version has been more stable than the previous one. I think that is by design and not a way to just increase sales or profits.
