Hi Doug,

First, I must apologize for not acknowledging your post before now - I don't know how I missed it.

We've discovered that btrieve versions 6.1 and earlier are not very ODBC friendly, and each installation is a little bit finicky. They don't always provide what you would expect from the standard SQLTABLES and SQLCOLUMNS commands - if anything at all.

Our solution is somewhat unique, and almost embarrassing: Access 2.0 (circa 1994?) talks to early versions of Btrieve NATIVELY. So we do our queries in Access 2.0 and throw the results into standarad DB3-style DBF's. We have to run it on Win98, and only use 8.3 filenames, but at this point, it's any port in a storm!
