What I suggest to developers is to include SDT with your applications and have FoxFix to repair tables for applications that do not use it. FoxFix works great and I use it to repair customer tables at the client site or my site depending on the issues.

Not all clients want to spend a little extra to have SDT because "they will never have a data problem"! :)
