Agreed.
Those who learn .Net will probably have a comfortable future. My feeling is that people who solely use VFP should start looking at .Net. I am one of these people, but I will definitely be looking at it in the near future because I am going to be given the opportunity.
I can't see a place for VFP under MS if .Net achieves what MS is planning for it. Why would they keep producing VFP when developers could achieve the same results with the (probably) more popular .Net, they've already used rushmore in some of there DB products. You've got to look at it from a business point of view, a lot of people will argue that, but at the end of the day MS is a business trying (trying?? sorry, wrong word :-)) to make money, if there's an opportunity to make more, then they will.
