>Hi. I am using SafeSerial, an Active-X component. I have been for some time on my old machine. I switched from Windows 98 to a clean install of Windows XP. Because of this, I had to install VFP6 and subsequently VFP7 too. I reinstalled SafeSerial, a product which contains two components - an app that allows you to create serial numbers (which I can) and 'clean' directories (which I can). The other is the active-x component I can drop onto my login form. I can't drop it onto a form anymore, nor can I open a form that contains it. I get: "OLE 0X80040112 Class not Licensed for use."

I don't want to make this worse, by deleting and installing again because if I run into another problem, I wont even be able to run the app or the license generator - and with the support I'm getting right now, I would problably be dead in the water for weeks.

IIRC there's some issue of Developer vs. Runtime registrations. There have been several threads here on this topic.
