I do not know if this is the right place to put my question ... I have built a self-extractable zip file ( .EXE extension ) which updates certain files when run . But if any of the files have the "read only" attribute set to on the operation fails and terminates . Is there a way to force the self-extractor to rewrite even readable only files ( with or without user confirmation ) ?
