I have a couple of messages in Thread #
604451 that are formatted incorrectly now.
I agree with some of the others. This may be a good idea in theory, but it seems like there are too many old posts that aren't updated correctly. I think a new tag like Nadya suggested would be a better approach. Like I said, the idea of auto-formatting the code is good, but going back and trying to retrofit existing messages doesn't seem like a good idea to me. I don't know if I like the idea of having my old posts modified by a program.
>>>>In old messages, FAQ's e.t.c. people used HTML tags to bold or color text. Now it shows as tag. Take a look at faq #7997 for example. I don't think it was a good idea to change PRE tag bechavior because it affects existing context. I think that another tag should be used for that.

>>>The few people who used pre generated code should not do it. This avoids UT parser to be able to generate it. You may report to us any additional places where that occurs. When we'll update the UT parser to colorize and stuff like that, we need to rely on code as is.

610061 and tell me that you can read it.
>>Also how would your parser know a code in what language is presented between tags? VFP, VB, C#, T-SQL ?

>As I said, just forward me by email the reference when you see one and I'll update it. There are only a few dozens messages that have been done that way. Keep in mind that whatever is new is not subject to that. Otherwise, we wouldn't have done it. ;)
