OK...

I'm trying to find out how much you know about the .NET platform.
<<

Fair enough...

To me, it looks like your knoweldge is limited to a development tool, and I don't think thats enough to go on when making an informed decision, much less pushing that decision publically.
<<

I see VS .NET as nothing more than implementing the .NET framework. My primary interface with .NET is VS .NET. Whether that is enough to make an informed decision or not, I think it is. You OTOH think it is not. To that I say that you are entitled to your opinion...

You keep pushing this toward .NET as opposed to focusing on the VFP issues I have brought up - which have almost nothing to do with .NET. What I know about .NET is irrelevant to that point...

Perhaps..

So, whats the story you're sticking with? FoxPro2 to 3 was not a logical progression because it was a paradigm shift, but VS6 to VS.NET is a logical progression... but its still a paradigm shit?
<

I guess one could say that VFP was a logical progression from 2.x because it got Fox developers into windows development... If you recall, FPW was really a DOS environment with a windows look. VFP brought a windows event driven model to the Fox developer.

I guess both are logical progressions as well as fundamental paradigm shifts. You have helped clarify my thinking on this part of the issue...
