(UPDATE: this reminds me of an instructor I had while in the military that was ABSOLUTELY sure that ADA was the language of the future because it was the ONLY language the military would use! That same year I was writing programs for the military in Foxbase+!)

Sheesh! And I thought it was difficult taking courses while in the military--had to miss a LOT of days and study/work in the field (not fun and hard to use a flashlight). The military 'slugs' finished before I did; they had the free time (common knowledge in the military). My first year while I was going days, I worked at night 40-60 hrs a week and I thought that was difficult too! You definitely had it much worse! Congrats on your achievements! You inspire me!

>>>We verified that some teachers did indeed give the same test year after year. They had a reputation of “being there” but not demanding. Most of us in my group were on the GI Bill and pissed off at such crap. We went to school to learn – even if it was night classes. One girl from “days” came to our English 1 C class and after a few meetings announced how terrible night classes were. She said with great indignation, “Why you actually expect us to work! On days, we party”! I cannot imagine what type of students was being turned out on “days”! On second thought, yes I can! I have interviewed and met many in real life – losers all too often. Time to party? Forget it! There is a time for everything.

>>Hi, I just had to contribute to this one. I went to college for a year and then lost my grant. I joined the military and went to college at night. My night courses were so much more challenging that I asked one of my instructors about it. She informed me that night students made the extra effort to work and attend college and expected their moneys worth. If she attempted to teach with the same guidelines during the day, all of her students would fail and she would not be teaching the next year. Sad, isn't it? Needless to say, I acquired my diploma by attending night courses. Just took a lot longer!

>I was an idiot and worked full time as a senior electronics technician, was married and bought a house which I remodeled (major work). On top of that I went to school full time at night. First engineering college and then to get additional degrees in History and Political Science. I do not recommend this to anyone.
