>As announced at the LA Fox UG, Countrywide is looking for five full time VFP consultants. A couple of other LA Fox members have found jobs through the UG, including you.

In actuality, my current gig was found thru a recruiter, although if I had talked to Twila first I could have asked for more money since there wouldn't be a recruiting fee.

My very first job in LA and my first consulting gig after that, both in the early 90s were found thru the User Group. Nothing since then.

If I was still unemployed, I would be interested in Countrywide. I have been empressed with the quality of people I met at the LA Valley UG who work at Countrywide.

In terms of other places, I have talked to other folks who have worked at some of these places. We are ex-employees for a reason. There are other places, such as PSI in Glendale, that I have no interest in working at.

I have been a full time employee for most of my career. If there are lots of contract work out there, that is a positive sign.

As far as an unreleased product, .NET has been in beta for a very long time. The only negative thing I have heard is the learning curve. In this case the only thing I feel is that this is a situation I should take advantage of since I've been involved in OOP for the last couple years. And most of these .NET folks are starting at the ground floor.
