When I put a bitmap or svg file in a general field and double click the general field in the browse list it shows my bitmap or svg file.

But if I do this with another filetype i.e. eps,jpg
it just shows the icon.

How can I associate a file type to use a particular active x control?
But only for the current application.

I'm particular interested in why the svg file works to be shown from the
browse list whereas a eps does not.

I can see it is not to do with file associations so what is it?
