I don't know what is happening. Perhaps you can use the debugger, and watch the members of ThisForm, or of Application.ActiveForm, to see whether the object you want to really exists already, or not.

Remember, an object may exist, but not be visible.

What is the name of the member you are adding? Perhaps you are trying to use a reserved word.
