Actually, at 50, I often think of an old greeting card a friend received from his wife on his 50th: "You're not over the hill until you're over the thrill..."
I think the card was referring to something other than learning new technologies, but I also think the saying applies very well to this discussion. I usually do learn something new every day and I don't intend to lose the thrill of it any time soon.
Whether a young potential boss is impressed or not is another story. The current one seems to be happy at the moment. :-)
