I have come across the following situation:
>
Background:
I am using a user defined function in a report to evaluate a string to
its equivalent value, e.g. pass it "10 + 2" and it returns the value 12. I
am using an activex dll built in VB which in turn passes the string to a VFP
Comm Server to do the actual evaluation as VFP provides the evaluation
functionality natively.
The whole idea behind this is that I can produce a report which can display
fields of either values or formulas in what ever column order the user
wants, using Crystal formulas to establish where each value is in the report
and then putting this into a string which is then evaluated by the UFL
returning the value.

Problem:
This all worked fine when testing, but now that the client has built up
a bit of data the UFL returns a "Memory Is Full" error when ever there are
more than around 1000 records to do when exporting records to HTML - the
highest record count I've got to 986 records. During a normal print Crystal
just sends an empty print job to the printer.

Is this a known problem/limitation of using User Defined Formulas in
Crystal or is it more likely to be something to do with resources available?
Has anyone else come across the problem aswell?

Look forward to your solutions/suggestions.
