Hi,

I am trying to add a Web Reference to a VB.NET project using a .vsdisco file. When I select the file, I get an error that tells me VS.NET doesn't like the 'application/octet-stream' content type for an xml file.

I looked at the MIME extensions on the IIS server and .vsdisco was not in the list (.disco was). I added .vsdisco as 'text/xml' but I still get the error. In separate steps I added the same .vsdisco MIME entry to the Default Web Site, the virtual web site and the .vsdisco file itself. None of these had any effect. I also tried adding the Content-type text/xml in the custom HTTP headers, but then VS.NET told me that content type 'text/xml,application/octet-stream' is not valid for an XML document.

Can anyone tell me how to make IIS to use text/xml as the content-type for .vsdisco (and .disco) files?
