can u plz suggest one of the ways to use dsn-less connection
i know only one that is specifying the server name in ur connection string. infact its fast too !!!!
but when i use crystal reports i've to go for dsn. so i end up managing two connection strings, no other choice.
and then i've to manage machine name too !!! i'm quite confused in choosing and managing one of the way to keep my application configuration file and keeping security in mind.
>To my rememberance, the DSN cannot save the password, you need to give it each >time you want to use it. Maybe I am wrong on that!
yeah u r right !!! it does'nt save the password unless u force it to keep

i did'nt get this point !! can u explain plz ??
