Sounds like RH is misidentifying your keybord. My Konqueror installation can log on by either clicking on the button or pressing the enter key after the password is entered.

I don't know about RH but with SuSE they have a file, fetchmsttfonts, part of the x86ftools package, on their ftp website that you can download and execute. It goes out to Microsoft's Font website and downloads all their fonts and installs them automatically. If you have XFree86 greater 4.*. support is included in it.
