I was trying to hunt down the list of stuff VFP provides that you can and can't re-distribute. Since I knew Filer was on the no-no list, I went there to see if it linked to the list. I was surpised to find that it's no longer non-redistributable. Sorry if this is old news, but I can't search to see if someone mentioned it already and I thought it may be of use to people like me that always wanted to be able to use Filer in an app.

From VFP6 help:
[Distribution
Filer.dll and its companion files are for use with Visual FoxPro only. You
are not permitted to distribute any of the files with your distributed
run-time applications.]


From VFP7 help:
[Distribution
You can distribute Filer.dll and its companion files, filer.ico, filer.scx,
and filer.sct, with your distributed Visual FoxPro runtime applications. ]

As long as I'm posting, does anyone happen to know if you can use the treeview control in an app? I was pointed to it in another thread and it looks like it might work for me.
