>>1. is it possible for me to use Ms. Outlook 2000 to send / receive email (I am using sendmail in my RedHat 7.2)? because it ask me to enter the name of Ms. Exchange server?

As I mentioned before, there are packages, like Evolution and Binari, which emulate Exchange and/or connect to an Exchange server transparently. I never play with or us MS software except at work on one machine, and as each new version comes out I find myself less and less interested in keeping up. There's no point.

I'll have to disagree about sendmail. I am using courier as a mail server and am very happy with the results. You can get it at http://www.courier-mta.org. About the only caveat is that while the author is very active in the tech support forum, he's also a bit on the acidic side.
