Beats me < shrug > Though I suppose you might want to if you have some code that relies on the name being something pre-defined (though that seems like it would be pretty poor design).

The real kicker of course, is the SCATTER NAME case. Because it doesn't have an exposed name property you can't use the code you posted to see if the command succeeded (though again, assuming you have a record available, I don't really see how it could fail either).
