There is no original table. The data is all the folders and files on the hard drive and whether or not they are checked. I load that straight into the tree control. Most of the time, the user will be working with folders and files below a particular directory, but if they stick in C:\ as the starting directory, we have a problem. On my small hard drive alone is about 98K files.

I thought of another problem. Even if I only loaded a small amount at a time and kept the checked value in another table, there's still an exception. If the user expands every folder, it will still hit the limit. How do I get around that one?

Thanks,

Michelle
