In this occasion I want to please request them it guides me in the development of a small but powerful utility.

I need to develop a software that:
1.- Check out that in the machine is executing has a MODEM.
2.- Make a revision of the operation of the MODEM.
3.- Make a phone connection, where the telephone number, the user and the key are inside the application. I mean this data cannot be modified.
Please if there is any API or ActiveX Control, tell me to get it in order to begin to work.
