Does anyone know of a reliable, programmatic way of checking MDAC version on a WIN system.
MSDN gives two methods, one is via an executable called ComChecker (not an option) the other is the check registry keys (Q301202) which is what we've been attempting to do.
It seems that some of our clients are installing software during the course of the year that actually overwrites the newer MDAC version/registry keys with older versions, causing our software to fail.
Also, in some cases the registry keys are returning invalid/erroneous info.
Thanks in advance.
