I tested with VFP7 SP1 and Word 9.0.4305 SR-1 (from Help/About in Word). Your code runs fine for me.

I made a couple of RTF files, the first with 27 pages, and created the .h file using the Object Browser.

After running, the contents of the 2nd RTF file are appended to the first.

The box I am testing on is Windows NT 4 SP6, though, and my Office version is a little newer than yours.

Maybe it is dependent on the RTF file, or exact OS or Word version.
