Those are good suggestions. I have created IIF's in both VFP and EXCEL (tab delim.). The behavour seems to be the same. I just downloaded TextPad and I am anaylzing the files. I am really looking at the format of the IIF file.

Do you know of any good ways to map the invoice fields to the IIF ? I think we have some custom fields added, but I don't know how the inport function deals with this (OTHER1, OTHER2, ect.). This project has just seemed like educated guesswork from the beginning.
