I'm getting an error "Class does not support Automation or does not support expected interface." when I try to update data from the UI EXE by passing values to an ActiveX DLL. The weird thing is it works when retrieving the data from the same DLL.

I ruled out security-related issues and believe it's related to problems in "binary" compatibility but I can't understand why it works when retrieving data but not updates.
