There are something like 20 languages for the CLR, even the infamous COBOL.NET. What matters is the IL code that the compiler emits. This is what the CLR works with. I don't think the CLR even knows which language the source code comes from. And when working with the .NET classes, the code emitted with VB.NET and C# is nearly identical.
