(Okay, I've already posted this under Third Party, but then found this Category... I'm posting this here as well to see if I get any different ideas.)

Greetings! I am working with an ActiveX Control that has both a Method and Event named "Scan". When I drop the control on my form and right-click to get the properties, only one "Scan" shows up. By trial and error, I have discovered it is the Scan Event that shows up. The Scan Method allows me to scan, so I can never get the form to initiate a scan.

I am using VFP6, but I do have access to VFP7. In the Object Browser (VFP7), I can see both the Event and the Method... but I don't know how to access both. I was told by the company that since most development tools can access both the Event and Method even though they have the same name, they aren't concerned that VFP can't.

This has to be a semi-frequent concern... has anyone else encountered it and found a solution? Many, many thanks!
