Can you comment a little more on speed, reliability, etc.? Does "successfully" mean you had no problems, or did you only need minor workarounds?
I use triggers myself, sometimes, for updating information in one table, when information in another table changes. A typical example is that a sale could update the inventory.
You are probably aware that RI works through triggers, too.
