From this connection string it looks like you want to use SQL Server authentication. Is the server set up for this?
Otherwise it may be that the connection does not have the right parameters. The easiest way to make sure that you are using the right parameters is by creating a .udl file, double-click on it, go through the prompts and test the connection. After verifying that the connection is good open the .udl file with a text editor and copy and paste the connection string on the last line to your program. HTH
