I dont think thats the issue. In fact in the database designer, i try to change the index's FILTER clause from " .NOT. DELETED() " to " ! DELETED() " and save it. Then i re-MODIFY the table and VFP has converted ! to NOT.

I think the problem is the fact that the DELETED() clause (for or NOT) is present.
