Hi Nadya,
I can relate to the problem. I think the best solution is good documentation, in a central location. This documentation should be searchable, and it should contain the name and location of the procedure file that contains each function.
In a book called
The Pragmatic Programmer, there is section called "The Evils of Duplication". This book suggests that information should only be stored in one place, to avoid the problems that occur when information is scattered around. Using this concept, you could put all this documentation in comments in your source code. Then, you would have a program that scans through all of the source code, extracting all of the this information out into HTML or .CHM documentation.
Solving this problem in this manner is on my list of things to do...hopefully someday soon.
Just some thoughts...
>Hi everybody,

>We have lots of programs, which we place at CommonWg\Progs directory. I'm thinking, how can I organize them to easily be able to find the necessary one. For instance, right now I need to find UDF for calculating last day of the month. I'm positive, I already had this program written, but I can not remember its name and can not find it.
