>I am working for a company that is still uses FPW2.6. They want to upgrage to VFP next year, but have a problem now....they want to transmit a file by modem at the touch of a button....Anybody have a place that I can start????

We do this using ProComm Plus...it has a powerful scripting language (ASPECT)...it might not be the most 'clean' method, but if the file is usually the same file (and of course the login, start to send procedures are always the same), then it will get the job done. If you are not going to be doing a lot of this type of work (ie. you don't really have a need to become a communications program expert), this is probably the fastest method. You just set the macro recorder on, login, transmit the file, logout. Then look at the ASPECT code that was generated. It should work fine (you can figure it out quickly if you need to make changes). Then you are done. Just insert the RUN command into your code...should take less than an hour.
