The dodefault() may or may not be the problem here. They weren't included in these examples but I'm not sure I see where it would make a difference here. It never failed, except for 2 forms, and even then one only happened under extreme circumstances and the other seemed vary random, being that it would work quite a few times and then blow up on the 10th or 20th time the form was instantiated.
