Go to the TOOLS Options menu and select the forms tab. Point the form class to the custom class you want and set it as default. Then when you create a new form using new, it uses this class instead of the default. Hi Dave, >I must be not seeing the forest for the trees. But how do I create a new form using my custom form as the class which is in my >classlib. When I select "New" on the Project Manager it calls the form designer which uses the base classes. I want to use my >custom classes. > >TIA, >Dave I believe you can only create new form classes based on an existing custom form class. Open the new class dialog, and base the class on your custom form class, and it will allow you to base this new form class on your custom one. You'll also need to specify a class library to store this new form class in. Phil
