yes, i reviewed the records foxfix said had deletion mark problems, and they looked fine. even in the hex view nothing stands out.

if i 'copy to' or 'select *' the whole table out, zap the original, and append the records back, the problem comes back.

since foxfix mentioned the deletion mark, i did a 'delete all' followed by 'recall all' hoping to rewrite all delete markers. no luck.

i also took the same .dbf and .dbc from another data site running the same application, zapped it and appended the data back in. the problems persist.

i tried scattering the record, deleting the one in question, packing, then inserting into, still no luck.
