I had quite forgotten about the buffering / transaction / indices problems. Mainly, the framework I use takes care of that. But it does do a lot of workarounds. Like, having a method, at the application level, to eliminate indices in ALL open forms, before doing certain stuff. I even had to use this method myself.

So, I agree, the forms are not quite as independent as they should be.
