PL/SQL is powerful enough. The learning curve for creating SPs and packages can be daunting. You will lose a significant amount of RAD capability using Oracle designer tools. VFP as a front end to an Oracle database is an awesome combination. You definitely need to learn about triggers, sequences, roles and synonyms. I have posted examples of all these in the Oracle forum.

If you put a super effort into the database design and put your integrity checks in the database, the front end development is a breeze.

Although I can easily support the move to the database, I am leary that Oracle Forms is as powerful as what they are used to with a VFP front-end. I am also leary that PL/SQL is powerful enough to, because as we all know, there are always reports that require significant data manipulation before the final cursor is created for a report, is powerful enough to support very complex reports. I would appreciate any insight as to the limitations in using strictly Oracle development tools (Forms and report writer) as opposed to a development language such as: VFP, VB or C++.
