Java/j2ee Programmer - Advanced

4 years experience with Java on the Windows NT or Solaris operating systems. The positions involve building
financial E-commerce applications and/or multi-tier architectures to be deployed on corporate intranets. Salary
Range: $100,000 - $140,000

General Technical Requirements

Operating Systems: Experience with either Solaris 2.x or Windows NT 4.x required. Experience with both Solaris
2.x and Windows NT 4.x preferred.

Programming Languages: At least 4 years experience with Java (JDK 1.x-2.x) required. Experience with Java 2
Enterprise Edition (J2EE) required. Strong server programming abilities required. Experience with Java
subsystems such as the Java threads package, the Java Native Interface (JNI), and Java Plug-in 1.x required.
Working knowledge of the Java Virtual Machine required.

Databases: Experience with either Oracle7.x-8.x or Sybase 11.x required. Experience with Java Database
Connectivity (JDBC) drivers such as BEA/WebLogic JDBC or Sybase jConnect required.

Middleware: Experience with Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB) using a production EJB server such as BEA WebLogic
Server or IBM WebSphere required. Experience with multi-tier architecture and production Internet architectures
required. Advanced knowledge of distributed computing using either the Java Remote Method Invocation (RMI)
or Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA) technologies such as IONA OrbixWeb or equivalent
required.

Internet: Experience with Netscape Navigator 4.x or Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x required. Experience with
Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) and Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) required. Experience with Java
Server Pages (JSP) required. Experience with Java Servlets required. Experience with Extensible Markup
Language (XML) required. Experience with Java Servlets required. Experience with active fail-over Internet
architectures preferred.

Modeling: Experience using the Rational Rose preferred.

Applications: Experience with ecommerce applications and/or financial applications preferred.
