I develop on Win2000 and WinXP platforms - and do test my apps on a Win98 platform.

Recently an app which does keep open concurrently a large number of files and indices has given errors at a remote site running on Win98. Textfields which have a dbf as recordsource appearing as greyed out - as though dbf were empty (which it is not).

Thinking back to my DOS days, files=150 comes to mind. Wondering if anyone has suggestions of tweaks they've done to Win98 in a like situation.
