Hi NIck,
Something must be wrong in your path to the jpg file. I just created a new blank form named test, ran it, and and from the command window issued:
test.picture="C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual FoxPro 7\Graphics\Bitmaps\Gauge\horz.bmp"
and it worked fine.
